Welcome Communitarians,

We offer this website as a catalyst for sharing information and collaborating on issues that are basic to the cause of encouraging a greater sense of community among people and groups. We believe that bringing a sense of community present in the lives of modern people takes skills, support, an openness to learning from each other, and a depth of connection that builds over time. It takes a willingness to change and engage in growth over a lifetime.

This is a new website that offers a service – to facilitate persons having an interest in the encouragement of community a sense of worthwhile connection with others who share a common cause, and by choice, a common life. This work is a response to our feeling for the effort that it takes for individuals and groups to maintain and develop enduring partnerships of proven value.

This website offers:

• A place for conversation to occur about communitarian perspectives,
• A recognition of different kinds of community or definitions of community
• A way to appreciate the different life experiences that people bring to their exploration of community
• A place to ask questions and have some assurance that they will be answered, perhaps from a number of different viewpoints. You as a viewer can also respond to other’s comments and questions
• It’s a place for stories about your experiences of community in your life or perhaps for visions about what you long for in life experiences that have more of a community feel to them

This is a site that encourages participation and we will be working to make it user friendly.
